Comparing Drawings, Models and PCBs with PTC Creo View

As the design of your product evolves, it gets more and more difficult to understand what has changed from one iteration to the next—especially when other team members may have modified the data. With PTC Creo View, you can easily determine the differences between two versions of an MCAD or ECAD design. You can see what’s changed in 2D drawings, 3D parts, images, PCB schematics, and PCB layouts including attributes and graphic elements. Continue reading on the PTC Creo blog here. Continue reading

PTC Creo View Publishing: Why it Matters & How it Works

The biggest issue facing manufacturers is how to efficiently share large volume of digital product content created throughout the product development process. CAD tools are typically used to create the design data but this data needs to be accessed by numerous stakeholders in the downstream organizations to visualize, measure, analyze, approve, manufacture, inspect and service the design. Barton replaced me as the solution director responsible for the Creo View MCAD product line.  In this post, Barton discusses his passion for visualization, his experiences at the PTC Live event and his appreciation for the valuable customer interactions during the Technical Committee meetings.

Alas,  its almost the end of summer and “protection” from the sun is not going to be needed as much in the coming months… Well, I wasn’t planning to discuss about sunscreens, SPF and the like in this post… But, wanted to cover a related topic on “protection”. i.e. Intellectual property protection. I just published an article “IP Protection in a distributed, collaborative and visual world” around how an efficient, effective and trustworthy collaboration environment is vital for today’s global business while maintaining your intellectual property. Checkout my post on the Creo blog here. Note, the link takes you to creo.ptc.com.
